I've been considering this for a while and for some reason today, I just decided to go with it.
I've always liked the look of a roached mane and have kind of wanted to do it to Jetta for a long time but always thought that I'd never actually do it. I was too chicken.
For some reason, I just threw all those reasons out the window and shaved it all off today. I hate keeping it pulled, Jetta hates having it pulled, I'm probably not going to show that much this summer, it will keep her cool on our trail rides and I think she'll rock the mohawk.
Mid-way through the cut I kind of had a panicked "what am I doing?!" moment, but now that it's done, I actually really like it.
I love a roached mane :)
ReplyDeleteOh I like it!
ReplyDeleteLooks really nice! I love roached manes but can't convince myself to do Lilly's! Someone needs to come over and do it when I'm not around. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt was so tough to do but I think I love it! You should do it, we'll start a trend :) Definitely have to credit Andrea for starting it with O's mane though.
DeleteI've been thinking about doing this for a long time. I think you have convinced me, it looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteDo it! It's just going to be so much more manageable now. And I think Jetta'll be super awesome with a mohawk!
DeleteMy mother would kill me if I roached Fiction's mane haha :)
ReplyDeleteCool! I bet you will really like it when it grows out a bit. I did Roz's last year and the in between stage was quite cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like it! She looks great. I think I'm going back to pulling Tuck's mane for the first chunk of this summer at least, but I do miss his mohawk...!
ReplyDeleteI think she will definitely rock the mohawk! :)
ReplyDeleteCute! I like it :-)
ReplyDeleteBut what will you hang on to when you jump? I swear that's when I do half my mane pulling.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I didn't even think about that until you mentioned it, but it's so true! I used her mane a lot... Guess I need to get an "oh sh!t" neck strap to use.
DeleteI love a good roach!
