I rode the pony and... she was a brat. Leaning, rushing, bratty. We did get a really nice canter, but our trot was horrendous. Leaning around the corners, leaning down the long side, leaning, leaning, leaning.
I was too lazy to get the dressage saddle out of the trailer since our lesson on Saturday so I just rode in my jump saddle. You could literally see her thinking about it....
What? You put the jump saddle on me and then there are no jumps?? Not ok... |
So instead of taking the easy way out and getting the dressage saddle for the next ride, we are instead going to ride in the jumping saddle for the next week or two... Without jumps! After we rode, I attacked her tail. This is what her tail looks like:
After a few minutes I gave up. The only way to get rid of this is to wash her tail (to get the mud out) then pick out the shaving by hand, braid it and leave it that way. After thoroughly brushing it out it still had a ton of shavings. Grr.
And then I stopped at the grocery store and... locked myself out of the car. Lovely. So today was overall just fantastic. Ugh.
Bummer about your day. Hopefully tomorrow will be MUCH better!
